ABSTRACT

The purpose of this investigatory project is to make a charcoal out of coconut meat. We all know that making charcoal is heavily dependent in forest trees so its now time to look for alternative source of charcoal. One alternative source is to used by-product of grated coconut meat which usually thrown away after extracting the coconut milk. with this alternative source we can minimize cutting mangroves which affect the habitat of animals living in that area.
In doing this first seperate the coconut meat from coconut oil from coconut oil by squeezing. Then dry it under the heat of the sun in one day until the coconut meat turn to brown. Afterwards mold the coconut meat in the iron holder. Lastly heat the molder for 5-10 minutes. The result of this project based on our experiment is proven to be effective much like the comercial charcoal
It has observe and concluded that cococnut meat is a good source of charcoal and gives enough heat that can be use in cooking.
